We support excellent smaller charities to unlock change for people facing significant disadvantage.
Each year, we award grants across four categories:
Grant theme
Our theme for the year ended 31st March 2025 is supporting charities which focus primarily on providing support and opportunities for deaf people. Grants up to a maximum of £40,000 are available to charities with a turnover of less than £5 million. We have £600,000 available to distribute. Application forms will be available here from 1st July and must be submitted by 31st July. (Now closed)
Three Year Funding Programme
We welcome applications from Charities offering safe accommodation as a direct response to homelessness or an immediate risk of homelessness. We have £300,000 per year from which to offer grants between £15,000 and £30,000 for three years. Application forms will be available here from 1st August and must be submitted by 31st August. (Now closed)
Disasters
We always look to move swiftly in the event of natural disasters and offer support where we feel able to assist. Due to the unpredictability of such disasters, we don’t accept applications under this category. We have £150,000 available under this heading.
Smaller grants
Grants up to a maximum of £10,000 are available to charities with a turnover of less than £250,000. We aim to award these grants to charities who rely on volunteer support and make an impact in their communities. Application forms will be available here from 1st October and must be submitted by 31st October. We will have £550,000 to distribute.
With the support of The Forrester Trust we have been able to grow, what was at the time a brand new initiative in the Criminal Justice System – securing sustainable employment for ex-offenders. It is without doubt their continued support, that has allowed team TN to secure jobs for over 500 people. People who would otherwise be trapped in the cycle of crime and poverty.
