We support excellent smaller charities to unlock change for people facing significant disadvantage.

More about us

Each year, we award grants across four categories:

Grant theme

Our theme for the year ended 31st March 2024 was Immediate Needs as a Result of the Cost of Living Crisis. Grants up to a maximum of £40,000 were available to charities with a turnover of less than £5 million. We have distributed £597,098 to a total of 34 charities listed elsewhere on our website.

Three Year Funding Programme

We offer 10 grants of £25,000 a year for three years. We award these grants to organisations which can use a grant to create a ripple effect to achieve multiple outcomes. The next round of grants will be in our year ending 31st March 2025.

We always look to move swiftly in the event of natural disasters and offer support where we feel able to assist. Due to the unpredictability of such disasters, we don’t accept applications under this category. We have £150,000 available under this category.

Smaller grants

Grants up to a maximum of £10,000 are available to charities with a turnover of less than £250,000. We aim to award these grants to charities who rely on volunteer support and make an impact in their communities. Applications are now closed. We have £500,000 to distribute. We aim to make distributions to successful applicants, who will be listed on our website, by 31st December 2023.

With the support of The Forrester Trust we have been able to grow, what was at the time a brand new initiative in the Criminal Justice System – securing sustainable employment for ex-offenders. It is without doubt their continued support, that has allowed team TN to secure jobs for over 500 people. People who would otherwise be trapped in the cycle of crime and poverty.
